The high bidder got the jersey for $1,500 because he met the reserve price of $1,500. The second high bidder was in the $300's. That's a huge disparity that should say something. Doubtful that any shill bidding would have occurred here; just someone potentially taken for a ride.

Let's hope the high bidder is a shill, because this one is a Pam Anderson jersey (surgically enhanced). There's a chance that this was a blank 1993 TI Orioles jersey. There's no chance that it's a game-used Ripken.
As the OP pointed out, the NOB is the wrong size, and the plate is too tight.

Granted, this is not nearly as bad as the previous 1993 Ripkens we have seen in the past, but at the current bid price of $1,500, wouldn't a buyer want a little more security?
