I was wondering if anyone had any insight on this Miguel Cabrera gamer and it's inscription. I am a big fan of Cabrera's, but have never seen anything like this on one of his bats.

Re: Miguel Cabrera Game Used Bat - MLB.COM Auctions
Hello,
It is an inscription of "Santeria"
Santeria is an Afro-Caribbean religious tradition. Many Latin players believe in this religion.
I saw a months ago in JT Sports, a bat of him with the word "Ogunda Meyi" instead of his name. According to them, Miguel had sent to make 12 bats of these.
The funny thing about this bat, is that JT Sports thought that "Ogunda Meyi" it was its sister's name.

Very interesting. I would have never guessed that. So there have been others signed this way??? He didn't sign his name either. That would defintely be a conversation piece because no one would know what the hell was on the bat. What about the object to the left??? Is this the dagger that the religion talks about being the "Power of Metal"???
