I have received a few emails about a "1983 Mike Schmidt Phillies jersey" currently on Ebay:

Note that the seller indicates it may or may not be game worn. At least he is honest about this, however, I can assure you it is not team issued or game worn.

There are a few areas of concern:
*The nameplate is not correct. Wrong letter style and spacing is too close.
*Year/Set tag. Incorrect embroidery style. Likewise, the dead giveaway is the dash between 83 and 2. You will NEVER see a dash between the year and set on a real gamer.

I have attached a few photos of what the correct nameplate, year tagging, name in collar, etc. should look like on a 1983 gamer.

Does it seem that this Schmidt, the Munson, the Ripken "Rookie", the Carlton were all manufactured at the same factory?
