    Mattingly Sound Jersey

Did Wilson use 2 different tagging in 1981? I know the person selling the ebay jersey is a member of this forum, and by no mean I am saying either jersey is not authentic. Here are photos of the 2 tagging one is from Leland's(1st) ant the other from eBay(2nd).

Its funny how both the front and back numbers are ripped and missing in the same place. They appear like they could have been 3's????

I Can Tell You That I Pulled Those Numbers Off Myself.

it could be a carryover. if the jersey is supposed to be from 1981 and one has pre-80s tagging and the other has tagging that was used in 1981, they could potentially both be legit. carryovers on cheap teams, which a minor league team would be, aren't uncommon.

what you don't want is the reverse of a carryover; to find tag that first appeared years after the jersey is supposed to have been used, like the 1996-1999 style russell tag on GFC's "1994" alex rodriguez rookie jersey.

a carryover from a previous year is possible and even common. travelling into the future and then back in time is not.
