I just emailed the seller about the 05 LS..I was under the impression he used strictly Rawlings in 05 but I could be wrong..And I have personally never seen that amount of pine tar on any of his bats..It is a great looking bat if anyone else can chime in feel free..
Looking for Doug Flynn and Joel Youngblood items.NY Mets jerseys 78-82

    Thanks Scott dcrules01@msn.com

I just saw these too, you had the same thoughts on the wright gamer that I did... tons of pine tar. I was looking for info on the board, if anyone had delt with him. The prices are good if it's legit.
      Thanks,
      Jimmy

I've seen tons of pine tar on Wright bats in the past. Particular LV slugger models. He's actually used Louisville sluggers more last year and I noticed on opening day he used one. They probably last longer than the Marucci's which is why they see more action and tar.

Slightly off topic, but David was in the factory today. He drove down from Cinci to take a tour. I got to meet him and modify his W305M, changed the knob and narrowed the taper in the barrel, it's now the W308. Great guy, he signed a lot of autographs for tourist and my workers.

            Brian,

Nice way to spend an off-day in Cincy!

Will David have his own signature model bat now that he has his own personal model bat?

            Thanks

Well, he already has the W305, W305M, W305X, W305Y, W305Z(X,Y and Z were just knob samples of two apiece during the off season) and now the W308. I don't think there have been any talks of signing a contract though.

I've purchased several gamers from the individual selling the Wright LVS. In my dealings with him he was always good to me in terms of knowledge, communication and quality of his bats.

To that though I have a 2005 Wright gamer and it's a blue ring Rawlings. This sure seemed to be his preferred bat that season but I wouldn't/couldn't say he used them exclusively. His M.O. was usually a decent amount of pine tar right around the blue ring itself and very little around the lower handle.... just my two cents.
