Nick Markakis 2006 ST Jersey

I'm interested in the board's opinion on this jersey:

Looks like a blockbuster piece to me if legit but it only went for $100 without meeting the reserve on its previous listing. States ton of use and it seems to match pictures but I don't know a lot about the tagging.

This isn't correct.....Fernando Tatis was in ST in 2006 with 21 and Markakis wore # 61. When the team broke north and Markakis made the team and Tatis didn't, Markakis got # 21

the black bp jerseys they never had names on the back anyway i was so glad when they stoped using them they were hot .not sure about any of the minor leagues for the o's i know they were handed down but i am pretty sure the names were never on the back

Unless this was worn in minor league camp, I'd be wary. Majestic only issued mesh MLB BP jerseys through 2002 (note the sewn on Majestic label). 2003 saw Majestic making the first of two cool base designs (the first being worn through 2006) that has screened on Majestic labels.

I asked the seller some questions about the tagging and here is his response....

"the wash tag has the majestic made in usa with the number
0006, the outside majestic has markings in sharpe 6-124 which
was a inventory number used in spring training,there is no coa as i
purchased over 100 shirts from the orioles last year"

Does anyone know who this seller is?

the seller, as it turns out, is someone very reputable- barry wolfsheimer of ball four. ive been speaking with him over the phone and im leaning now towards it being a legit gamer. i was able to photomatch that style of jersey to 2005 spring training and perhaps it was hand-me-down to markakis as i can't find any mention of him at o's st before 2006.

Thats odd...I asked the seller if he was Barry Wolfsheimer of Ball Four...he never responded??? The reason I asked if he was Barry is that I also wanted to ask about some older Orioles jerseys that originated from him....can you send me a PM with his contact info?

im going to see him tomorrow. i'll let him know.

he sent me a list of st jerseys he has. there weren't many gems- a lot of common players and many who've faded form baseball. if they were fake, someone went through an awful lot of trouble. he's also been very easy to get info from and talk to. i decided to take a chance on the markakis and four others. if anyone else wants his list, i can try and type it up
