Current offering on Ebay, "1989 Boston Red Sox Home & Road Jersey. Players name is Peterson. This is a batting practice jersey worn by him in Spring Camp. It was issued as a home and road pull over manufacturer is Majestic. Player's name is sewn on the back. Moderate game use. Full Letter from MEARS Memorabilia Evaluation & Research Services"

Based on the fact that the Red Sox did not incorporate names on back of this style of pre-game, I''m curious to know how it can be offered as a 1989 Red Sox jersey and have a MEARS LOA?
These same style pre-game jerseys were correctly identified and offered many years ago by Hartel Sports as Red Sox spring training/minor league jerseys.
The seller has been asked for a copy of the MEARS LOA and any insight as to it being offered as a 1989 Red Sox gamer.
