Only thing I can say about this one is that it's been on the ebay auction block for quite some time now. I believe there was no doubt that it is a legitimate Bills helmet, from that era. However, no one seemed to be able to confirm that it was actually Ferguson's helmet?

Mastro Auctions had a supposed Ferguson helmet up for auction a while back, however, it was cleaner and fitted with a blue Riddell BD-9, as opposed to the gray shown in the ebay auction.

One thing to add and look out for. If you notice, the Mastro auction had the supposed Ferguson helmet with the newer blue mask on an older suspension TK helmet. Where the ebay auction has the supposed Ferguson helmet on a newer PAC 3 helmet with an older gray mask? If you do some photo investigation, you might find your answer as to the legitimacy of the helmet he really wore, during the mask color transitions.

Ok, doing my quick Getty images search on Joe Ferguson, it doesn't seem likely that this helmet, in the ebay auction, was ever worn by Joe Ferguson because during the time he wore the gray Riddell BD-9 mask, he also wore the suspension Riddell TK helmet, and not the PAC 3 helmet as shown in the ebay auction.
