current offering in the Grey Flannel auction, lot #86, Bill Walton 1979/80 Clippers jersey:

As an avid Portland Trail Blazers collector, I'd enjoy adding a nice Walton jersey from Boston or San Diego to my collection. Based on photos of Walton compared to the offered jersey, there appears to be a slight difference in the numbers, specifically on the front 2. Note the beginning of the 2. Photos of Walton show the bottom portion more pointed as opposed to the offered jersey:





My other concern is the size-did Walton actually wear a size 42 jersey with the Clippers? 6'11, 235 pounds?

Any information from those experienced with Clippers or Walton jerseys is appreciated.

The photo of Walton shows him wearing a Spanjian San Diego jersey with sewn on numerals and letters. Later, they wore Russell with screen-printed numerals and letters. I'm not sure about the size, but Manute Bol wore a size 40 in the mid 80s.
