    Historic Auctions

I saw somethings at historic auctions that I would like to point out. I contacted them 2 days ago and have not heard back yet.
    Additionally

    #1 Ronnie Brown Dolphins jersey

After contacting Tony, the equipment manager, it was confirmed that Ronnie Brown only wore jerseys with elastic on the bottom which most of the Dolphins wear.

    #2 Ladanian Tomlinson Chargers Jersey

I was under the impression that this had been pulled off the auction. He also has his jerseys cut with the elastic at the bottom. This is not even close to being real. Just from looking at the picture it looks like it would reach his ankles.

There are also some other things I am working on. It is curious to me that none of these jerseys seem to have any use, and they don't have any repairs. Most of these look like they are full length jerseys, and the ones the players wear are usually cut and hemmed.

The Ladainian Tomlinson jersey that was pulled was a powder blue throwback. The one that I have came from NFL auctions and is quite customized including elastic in the waist.

      Eric-
I asked the folks at Historic about the tagging on thier "1998 game worn" McGwire and received the following photo:

I have both a home and road McGwire from 1998. Neither has the year tag sewn in this fashion (note how the 1 in 1998 is sewn under the tag). From my experience with jerseys, it appears the year tag has been "resewn" and placed in this fashion to cover up the previous stitching. Likewise, I have sold several Cardinals 1998 gamers, and neber seen this type of year tag sewing before. A photo of my 2 1998 gamers is attached.

I have asked Historic to respond to this concern, however, have not heard back.

        Howard,

I'm still working on the issue to determine an answer. I haven't forgotten about you....
