Any thoughts on this jersey? Has a partial number change? Size 43?? Any help would be appreciated.

I cannot comment on the seller. I am sure they are well-intentioned. But it is hard to imagine Luis Tiant wearing a 44. If anything, he was a 50+. I saw him in a lockerroom once with his shirt off. The number change discouraged me from bidding on this item.

I have seen legitimate Boston Tiant gamers, and 43 WAS the correct size. I agree the # change would turn me off, as well. Again, given the time frame, the sizing is not comparable then to now. Guys who took 43 (or 44) in 1975 would, under today's standards, be wearing 48s and 50s.

its not only the sizing but its also that the players wear their uniforms a bit baggy as opposed to the pullover tight fitting shirts
