The bat on ebay shows no sign of use. A sam bat at hunt auction just sold for over 3k with little use. Thats more than most modern day hitters bats Griffey, Ripken, Arod, etc.. So I think the market is just fine. If anyone wants to sell me a Sam BAt with good use I will pay top dollar. Thanks

The Bonds on ebay also appears to have been in the sun for a while. The red maple leaf has turned pinkish (looks gold in some of the photos).

I was unaware that Bonds let any of his bats go through MLB--did anybody ever get a holo number?

...and it appears that the seller of the ebay Bonds has lost all of his bidders. It doesn't help when he says that $1500 is "an insult."

Yep. Bonds stuff is doing great. The Sam bat ends at 300.00 and nobody bites on 2.5...All the cheaters games used stuff have suffered..No doubt about that.

Obviously Bonds items have taken a hit but nobody's going to waste their time with a seller who's just jerking you around. The seller posted on the auction that he was insulted by an offer of $1500, which most people would say is very reasonable for a bat with little use on ebay. Nobody bid on it because--with the reserve--it would be a waste of time.

Ironically, the bat was close to $2500 when the seller ended it the first time because he wasn't happy. If he had just let it keep going, he probably would've gotten $2500 and avoided the subsequent two or three listings--each of which had less interest than the one before it.

Yea, that's true..Plus, if you had a MLB coa why wouldn't you post that info? Something was fishy.

The bat sold for over 2k. I know the buyer and he thought it was a steal, the fact that you are trying to put together a run of Bonds sam bats he only played in like 15 games in 2005 you may not see another. I collect Bonds bats and have seen them sell in auction houses anywhere from 1500 t0 3000 in the last year. 2001 Sam bats sell for a premium the record of 73 year.
