Ebay 350409342658: early start for Champion
While most NFL suppliers didn't start using sleeve logos until 1989-90, this jersey (can someone please post a photo), fully authentic and dated properly, finds Champion adding thier manufacturer sleeve logo in 1987.
This isn't the earliest that has been photographed, either, as far as the C on the sleeve goes. John Elway wore Champion gamers in the mid-1980s with the TV logo on the sleeve, and even USFL jerseys from 1983-85 can be found with a Champion sleeve logo. Looks like Champion was ahead of its time in pro football advertising.
