    Braun 2011 "Bears" Throw back

For anybody considering the Braun throwback jersey in the current mlb.com / brewers.com auction - Braun did not actually play in the game that day. Depending on your own definition of "game used", bid accordingly I guess.

Whether he does or doesn't, I think it's a fair gesture to share the details of the jersey's supposed game use.

You won't see me bidding, either.
Oddly enough...the jersey is already over 1k.

It's not surprising if it was at least "worn" in the dugout. If he wasn't even at the game, then it's a bit excessive. Then again, it is a rare, unique, uni from one of the game's up and coming superstars.

I counted the Brewers using 12 different jerseys last year. The throwbacks, special events, and tribute day jerseys that are worn for a game or two, to me, just don't have the same signifigance as a home white, road gray or an alternate blue. To each his own, but that price on a one timer that never saw the field... EEeep
