The bat looks to be exactly what it says it is. The seller is well known and has proven to be honest and reliable.

Re: any thoughts on willie mcgee bat on ebay
Bats before 1990 had Louisville Slugger under the player's name. This bat dates to the 1983-85 era, so it's appropriate for it to have Louisville Slugger under the name.
As to this particular bat, Willie's shipping records do not show any orders of S207 bats. After coming to the majors, McGee's bat of choice was the C271 (cupped and not cupped). I've been told that McGee, when presented with a bat other than a C271 to sign, has commented that he probably didn't use the bat in question because he only used C271 Louisville Sluggers.
However, Willie's records do show orders for other models, including: Mc61C (18 bats), B335 and B335C (6), T85 (9), C296 (6), S318 (24) and C243 (42). There also were other models made for promo purposes, including M110 and R43. His minor league models, in addition to the C271, included B17 (5), S2 (12) and R161 (3). There are no S207 orders anywhere, let alone during the 1983-85 period.
It could be that someone else ordered bats with McGee's name, thinking the wood might be superior to the wood used for their bats (this used to happen quite a bit, apparently). Or, it could be an order of S207 bats was ordered but not recorded. Whatever the reason, the bat on eBay doesn't match Willie's order records.
Hope that helps.
