Rare Griffey Jr. item....This just takes the cake!!

I had to laugh after viewing this one:

Mark Murphy, The Baseball Card Kid, is a well known sports card dealer who I believe to be honest. Coast to Coast did have a deal with Ken Griffey, Jr. during his Seattle Mariners playing days to obtain autographs and game used memorabilia.

As silly as this listing is, and as silly as the asking price is insane, I believe the item is most likely genuine based on the seller's past and his claims it originated from Coast to Coast.

I agree and while the price is ridiculous, it's a cool item for a die-hard
Griffey fan who has everything else. The price seems to target that one
        "gotta have it" Griffey collector.

I second what trsent said about the seller and coast to cost. Murphy used to be the head unopened trading cards pack/box authenticator at GAI back when GAI was a respectable outfit

Rdeversole...great find! Makes me feel better about the item...

              BUT

I feel like this goes back to the thread about keeping and maintaining paperwork and the provenance chain. If this item had that coast to coast coa to accompany it, I feel like there would be less hesitation about the item and lend even more credibility to the item.

I'm not questioning the authenticity of the item, but the price is ridiculous.....you can get a signed Griffey Jr. game used bat for less.

                Thanks,
                Bobby
