American Memorabilia is currently auctioning what it calls "Pete Rose LAST GAME WORN JERSEY EVER WORN 1989 MLB Season."

It looks to me like someone created "Pete Rose letterhead," drafted a letter, and then got Pete to sign the letter.

What Pete wrote on the jersey applies to any 1989 Pete Rose Reds jersey -- home or away. "MY LAST GAME WORN JERSEY FROM MY FINAL YEAR OF PROFESSIONAL BASEBALL 1989, PETE ROSE".

I have seen six or eight different 1989 Pete Rose Reds home jerseys, and they all look pretty much identical in terms of use (light) and tagging.

This jersey has the 1990-91 Rawlings label...virtually all 1989 jerseys found with this tag are Score Board issues, not team/game items.
