2003 Saints jersey with 2006 Patch, Thoughts???

Hi everyone-

I was looking at a Saints jersey on eBay, but something odd caught my eye.
The jersey is tagged as a 2003 jersey, but it has a patch that the Saints wore in 2006.

I know teams re-use shirts, but 3 years?

Semi-normal for most teams. I have 2008 jerseys photomatched to 2011 games.

3 years is a lot, but not totally out of the realm of possibility.

At worst, it could be just a backup jersey

I doubt a team will throw away a blank jersey just because the neck tag is now a year or two or three or four behind. I'm sure the teams order what they think they will need but end up not using all of the sizes then place the same order the following year and over time end up with multiple extras from years prior then grab whatever jersey they want to be tagged with name and numbers...

I have multiple jerseys that are worn years later:

Desmond Clark: Tag says 2008 but worn in 2010
Earl Bennett: Tag says 2008 but worn throughout 2011
Nick Roach: Tag says 2008 but worn twice in 2011
Rashied Davis: Tag says 2006 but worn during the 2008 Season
Tommie Harris: Tag says 2007 but worn in 2009

I think I have more but would need to dig deeper...
