    You're Kidding. Right?

Everybody has dealt with the frustration of jersey selling through here and eBay. If it's autographed, they'll say, "How can I remove the ink." Or they want "more pix," or something.

This is a classic through eBay. I decided to sell a Roberto Kelly Dodgers jersey -- opening bid, $75 - a steal. His response:

"Well, think about it this way -- If I bid for $75 free shipping, eBay will charge you 10 % final sale fee. So, $7.50 will be charged. And when I pay via Paypal, it will be about $3.00 fee. So you losing about $10.00, then shipping cost about $10.00, so you are losing $20.00 and takes you to $55.00 to bring home. We can work something out ..."

I think I bought a used car from this kid.

I once recall a thread on 'low ball' offers on this Forum. Does his fall into that category?

If you lower the price to $55, you still have to pay those fees, so you're only making $35, correct?

I presume he's angling for an outside sale to avoid the Ebay charges, which maybe he's split with you.

It's just silly these days. Guy emails me yesterday. Can you take $50 for an item? I look at the item, it's priced at $51 and change. Are they serious?

            Dave-
Have you gotten my emails regarding the jersey we discussed? I am willing to finalize a deal with you but have not heard back in well over a week.

I had a Game used helmet on eBay with an opening bid of $999. Guy emails me and offers $900. I counter with $910 to split the shipping and never heard from him again!
