Hello everybody. I just wanted to bring up a concern that I had with the Wes Welker jersey in the upcoming Grey Flannel auction:
In 2009 the Patriots wore their 50th anniversary AFL throwback jerseys a few times. They wore the whites only once, against Denver. The Wes Welker jersey from this game was originally auctioned off at the Super Bowl Hunt auction:
I was later able to acquire it through an ebay auction. I then sold it privately to a fellow collector. While it is possible that this is the same jersey (pictures don't appear to be), I do not think it is the same jersey. When I had the jersey in my collection it had a PSA/DNA sticker with on the inner neck line. The jersey was able to be compared to game photos as match:

Just look at the creases, they appear on the jersey photographed, on the jersey in the Hunt Auction description and on Welker in the game. This is the GFA jersey:

I previously posted the Hunt jersey as a pickup:
Also, the name plate on the back does not look to be the same as was shown in the game and on the jersey that was previously in my collection: pictured is the nameplate of the jersey I won and the game footage, followed by the GFA photo of their jersey. Notice the dip in the bottom edge of the nameplate present in the game footage but not the jersey up for auction.

I have contacted Grey Flannel about this matter and am awaiting their response.
Although it is also possible that Welker wore multiple jerseys in the game, I am not aware of the Patriots practicing this.
If anybody has anything constructive to add, please chime in
