Auction Houses Buyer's Fee Suck

Received this notice from Mastro's.

Please Note - Effective immediately, Mastro Auctions will raise its Buyer’s Premium from 17.5% to 20%.

Also received my SCP/Sotheby's auction catalog and noticed their Buyer's fee is 20 percent too.

With all the lousy service, questionable items, and prices, auction houses are really starting to suck bad.

Just a matter of time till the others follow this path.

Keep raising your fees fools, and your buyer's will continue to disappear.

these auction houses got some racket. they get paid coming and going. they saturate the market with questionable merchandise, and flimsy, inaccurate, letters. in my opinion, you need your head examined to partake in this charade. Jeff
