1982 Ozzie Smith Road Jersey on Mile High

I'm losing my patience waiting for a legitimate Ozzie Smith game worn Padres jersey, so I started thinking about this jersey on Mile High (previously sold by Grey Flannel). From his first year with the Cardinals:

I have some concerns about the label stitching on the right side of the Rawlings tag. Also problematic for me is that Grey Flannel has sold a Set 1 1982 road jersey of Ozzie Smith in size 38 (link above) and in size 40 (link below). Is it possible/likely that Ozzie Smith went up a size during the year, hence the change in jersey size, both tagged set 1?

I will follow up with anything more I learn about this.

Any thoughts you have on the Mile High jersey would be appreciated.

I saw this jersey at the National in Chicago and pointed out all of its problems to the guy who took it out of the case for me. The most obvious flaw is the NOB -- the letters are the size the team started using in 1989. Look at the Keith Hernandez jersey in the same auction -- it has the correct NOB font. This shirt isn't close to legit, and it's sad that after pointing out its issues, nobody took two minutes to do some research and see for themselves how wrong this jersey is. I wouldn't invest any of your nest egg in the Lou Brock jersey, either.
