I know the Astros never used this style of jersey without a nameplate the names were not sewn directly onto the back of the jersey. I also have never seen an Astros jersey from this era that had a strip tag. Im not sure who the manufacturer of the Astros jerseys were that year but I think they wore Rawlings and Goodmans hope this helps

In 1991 the Astros wore Rawlings not Russell. Only wore them in 92 and 93. Also they wore nameplates with this style jersey. Lastly i've never seen a strip tag like that on an Astros jersey. Stay away.
