George Brett bat in Hunt Auction

This doesn't look right to me.

There is no tar on the handle. When I look at the Brett use characteristics, every bat has tar on the handle, even ones with light use.

    Does anyone have an opinion?

Not to mention that the only COA is provided by the auction house. Isn't that a conflict of interest?

There's no conflict of interest in an auction house issuing a LOA. If they want to accept liability for legitimacy of the item, that's their prerogative.

As for the bat, you're likely right that there's not enough pine tar on that particular bat, but early Brett gamers had light to moderate pine tar applications.

I sure wish Hunt auctions would show more pictures of the items. Close-ups and etc.

Looking at what seems like hundreds of Brett pictures on the internet and maybe this bat is good. I've seen examples of bats he was hitting with that looks just like this. Here are a few.

I agree with wanting more photos from Hunt than what they post, but I have had good results in the past in e-mailing them and asking for images. It has taken a day or two to get that, but has worked. Last time I got a response was from Cheryl Goyda (cheryl@huntauctions.com).
            Cheers,
