Opinions on 1988 Ripken jersey in AMI auction

What I see in the photos looks OK, but I wouldn't give it a 100% thumbs up until seeing it in hand. There are a number of late 80s/early 90s Ripkens circulating that are commons doctored to appear as Ripken gamers, and the means of determining this aren't evident in the photos. If you do bid and win, I'd suggest having a 3rd party authenticator (MEARS or myself) or a solid Orioles expert (Bill Haelig) check it out as a condition of the transaction. Good luck.

Hi Dave, sorry, I meant to reply yesterday to you. Thanks for the insight, but I decided to pass on it for now. Closed at about $4k, so if I'm going to spend that kinda money, I want to make sure it's 100% legit before I win
