Re: Black Betsy For Sale
the auction houses must be tearing their hair out that mitchell chose to sell it via ebay. if the bat sells for mitchell's asking price of $875k, the auction house would've received $131,250 (assuming a 15% cut). pretty sweet money for doing nothing more than acting as an escrow service. if it sells, ebay will wind up charging him 10% (plus $4.80 insertion fee).

Re: Black Betsy For Sale
just noticed something in vince malta's LOO:
"I further represent and attest that I do not own nor am I involved in any arrangement whereby I would directly share in the proceeds from the sale of this bat for which I am providing this authentication"
when was the last time you saw a statement like that on a LOO?
while it ought to be on every single one, i can't remember the last time i saw it on one.
