Kobe Bryant 2006/7 Jersey-no Upper Deck Loa

Per previous posts on this site, it's been notede that Upper Deck owns and controls the distribution all of the 2006/7 Kobe jerseys bearing his new #24.

The current Universal Rarities auction features such a jersey, however, the LOA is from Global Authentication. Surly, if an UDA LOA came with it, it would be noted, and likewise, one would expect to see a UDA hologram or similar label on the tagging-not mentioned or seen in the photos.

If indeed UDA controls these jerseys, it should be interesting to see if this shirt makes it through to the final day of bidding on August 10th.

Does UDA has juristiction over game used jerseys? Their normal domain is autographed items.

I looked briefly into it, and UDA is involved with Kobe signed jerseys. I found no information that they had control over game used Kobe jerseys.

          Howard,

they won't pull the size 50 bryant jersey or the #24 jersey because the jerseys come with Mears and Global auuthentications...once again, an auction house trying to hide behind the authenticator...

look at the arch on the NOB of the #24 jersey that UR is offering...compared to pics on getty, the pro-cut jerseys have a much tighter radius then the real jerseys

also on their Bryant rookie jersey...didn't the jerseys have gold player logo that year in honor of the 50 year anniversery?...I know that some shirts were made with the red/white & blue logo but a gold logo patch was sewn over it...

I will send a message to Dan C. at DC Sports in California as he is tops on current Lakers items.

Rudy - Can you analyze these 2 Ripken TBTC "stat" jerseys. The current auction say 1997 and the old one says 1996. The inscriptions and jerseys look similar. Different tagging though.

This is the old auction a 97 TBTC with the same inscriptions:

Those Ripken TBTC are the same 1996 jersey. Showed it sold at the first auction.

Found this old thread too. New I had seen this before.
