Hello Everyone,

As per our announcement in the beginning of September, this folder has replaced the previous “Items for Sale” folder until the GUU consignment auction ends of October 25, 2007.

In fairness to those who have consigned their items to the GUU auction, this folder is reserved exclusively to discuss items being offered in the upcoming GUU Auction. Notably, the GUU Auction will offer approximately 230 fantastic items for those interested in acquiring game used related memorabilia.

There is additional information available about the upcoming auction under the ‘GUU Auctions’ tab which includes a preview of some of the items that will be in the auction. The auction will be going live on or about September 30th. At that time, there will be complete images and descriptions for all the items in the auction. Registration for the Auction (including the Auctions' Terms and Conditions) will be available at the beginning of next week.

After the consignment auction ends, we will be launching an enhanced platform where people can list items for sale on the GUU site. We will explain more about the upgraded platform in the near future. As for now, we will simply say the new platform will be much more beneficial to collectors and especially potential buyers looking for legitimate merchandise.

We look forward to providing a vast array of great memorabilia in the upcoming GUU auction as well as launching the new platform for buyers and sellers once the consignment auction has ended.

When the "For Sale" section returns at the end of October, do you plan on charging people to list or sell items they have for sale under the new platform?

Hello Tom,

That possibility will be discussed when the platform is ready to go live. However, I will say that, to be consistent with our objectives of allowing collectors to make informed decisions about the items they purchase, the new platform will be designed to present more than just titles of items and prices.

Thanks for the reply. I will let you hear my opinion on the matter. Not too sure if you already have a definate plan, but here it is.

I just started being an official game used collector this year. I was able to acquire many great items through the For Sale section. I rarely sell any game used items I purchase, so I am not worried about you charging a fee for that reason. But I feel a lot of the items people list for sale would not be listed if people had to pay to list or sell them.

I think if we had a feedback system to rate sellers, as well as buyers, that would help everyone involved.

I also agree with you that more detailed information needs to be used when listing an item for sale. This allows for other collectors to help out the less informed.

I think a feedback system here would be great. I rarely do much selling, but I do buy. You could get feedback for either being a buyer or seller.

I think we all pretty much recall who or what we bought from other members here so its not too late to make it retroactive.

While we're working on something like that, I wish that we had a feature that would allow you to stay logged in all the time. I'm constantly having to sign back in again.

The auction is scheduled to open on September 30th.

In the meantime, registration for the auction is now open. It can be found at any time by clicking 'Bidder Registration' under the 'GUU Auctions' tab as well as the designated link on the homepage.
