Prior to his 11 NFL seasons in which he made two Pro Bowl appearances and had three seasons with over 1,000 yards receiving, Anthony Carter was a three-time first team All-American at the University of Michigan. One of those three seasons where Carter was a first team All-American was 1981 when he finished seventh in the Heisman trophy voting while playing for Bo Schembechler.
