1997 Daryl "Moose" Johnston Game Used Cowboys Jersey (Photo Matched with Team LOA)

The Dallas Cowboys drafted Daryl Johnston out of Syracuse University where he was an All-American and All Big East pick in 1988. Johnston went on to play his entire career for the Cowboys (1989-1999) and was selected to the Pro Bowl in 1993 and 1994. While Johnston evoked cheers of "Moooooose" whenever he touched the ball, his greatest feat was probably epitomized by the fact that his blocking skills helped Emmitt Smith become the all-time NFL rushing leader. In fact, after Smith took a victory lap in Texas Stadium following his record setting carry, he embraced Johnston and said, "I couldn't have done it without you".
The jersey displays tons of use with hit marks just about everywhere and can be photo matched to a game played on 10/4/97 versus the NY Giants. On the front, back and both shoulders is the player #48 screened on in blue numerals. On the back, above the number is "JOHNSTON" screened on in blue letters on a white nameplate. Inside the neck is the 97-48 swatch tag indicating the year and size. Embroidered on the base of the v-neck is the NFL shield. Below the shield embroidered in blue, silver, and white is "COWBOYS". Below that is the reinforced eyelet. Sewn on the front tail is the Nike Pro Line tag with a size "L" flag tag. Inside the right tail is the Berlin WI tag. Sewn on the sleeves are the Nike embroidered patches.
This jersey comes with an LOA from the Dallas Cowboys.
