Dana Stubblefield, a former Kansas Jayhawk, was drafted in the first round, the 26th pick overall, by the San Francisco 49ers in 1993. In 1993, Stubblefield, led the 49ers in sacks on the way to being named NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year. The massive and talented defensive lineman was also selected to the NFL Pro Bowl in 1994, 1995 and 1997. In 1997, Stubblefield was named the NFL Defensive Player of the Year by the Associated Press.
This jersey, from Stubblefield's amazing rookie season, shows season long wear and has about 25-30 team repairs. The jersey absolutely hammered with use with the letters and numerals puckered and discolored. The sleeve stripes display season long cracking and pealing. The customization v-neck is ripped. There is only one word to describe this jersey, extraordinary. On the front, back and both sleeves is the player number '94' sewn on in white tackle twill. On the back, sewn on a red nameplate, is "STUBBLEFIELD" done in white tackle twill. The base of the v-neck has been custom v cut and reinforced. As such, the embroidered NFL shield has been removed from the v-neck and sewn on the mesh below the customization. Sewn on the front tail is the Wilson Prestige Teams tag with wash instructions. Sewn below is the size "52" and date code "FU" flag tags. Sewn on the sleeves are the Wilson "W" logo patches.
