After being drafted in the first round out of the University of Miami in 2001, Reggie Wayne's initial seasons in the NFL seemed to be a bit overshadowed by the his future Hall of Fame receiving counterpart Marvin Harrison. However, after reeling in over 1,300 yards receiving in 2006 (it was his third season with over 1,000 yards), Wayne earned his first invitation to the NFL Pro Bowl. Now one of Peyton Manning's favorite targets, it seems a lock that Wayne will be receiving many more Pro Bowl invites in the future.
This 2002 Colts home jersey is made of white mesh with dazzle cloth shoulders and sleeves and spandex sides. The player number "87" is sewn on the front, back and both sleeves in blue tackle twill. On the back of the jersey, above the number, sewn in blue tackle twill on a white nameplate is the name "WAYNE".
The jersey's lineman cut sleeves with elastic inserts have the Colts course ribbed cotton blue and white stripping. A Reebok patch is also adhered to each sleeve. The 02-46 swatch tag in the neck indicates the year and size. There is also an embroidered NFL equipment patch at base of neck. The tail of the jersey sports a Reebok tag with size 46 and 6 inches L.B. flag tags. A Berlin, WI tag is also inside the left tail.
