Mark Teixeira is one of those players that gets very little press, but is working on building a very nice career. A career .286 hitter, in five seasons he has already put two Gold Gloves, two Silver Slugger awards and two Player of the Month awards in his trophy case. Now with the Atlanta Braves, he has been lighting it up all summer long as the Braves chase the Phillies and Mets for the National League pennant. Braves fans have something to cheer about again, as they should be strong contenders in the future with Mark in their lineup.
