1995 Randy Velarde New York Yankees Game Worn Home Jersey (Steiner)

Randy Velarde was a steady infielder who played for the New York Yankees, California/Anaheim Angels, Oakland Athletics, and Texas Rangers from 1987 to 2002. Velarde was selected in the 19th round of the 1985 amateur draft by the Chicago White Sox. On May 29, 2000, Velarde turned an unassisted triple play for the A's versus the Yankees and was just the 11th in Major League history. He appeared in the 2001 World Series as a member of the Yankees.
This home pinstripe New York Yankees jersey was worn by Randy Velarde during the 1995 baseball season (prior to the death of Mickey Mantle). Tagged on the tail with the Russell Athletic Diamond Collection size 44 wash tag, a "Velarde-95" paper fiber tag and a 100% polyester flag tag. Jersey exhibits moderate evidence of game use, primarily in the form of wash wear (most evident on the tagging). All original jersey, worn before the Yankees added the Mantle memorial later in 1995. This jersey comes with documentation from Yankees/Steiner. View Lot Detail page
