As evidenced by the marvel of people who viewed this item when we displayed it at various shows, this Chester Taylor Vikings jersey gives new meaning to the term "game used". This jersey was worn by the Vikings number one running back in a wet Lambeau Field against the Green Bay Packers on December 21, 2006. This mud-filled jersey was worn by Taylor to carry the ball 15 times in tough difficult conditions during a tough 9-7 game won by the Packers. Overall, in 2006 Taylor had a fantastic year with over 1,200 yards rushing.
This jersey is covered with mud, grass stains and hit marks and is loaded with team repairs. On the front, below the numbers, is a sewn-in hand-warmer pouch. The jersey is a white mesh with dazzle cloth shoulders and sleeves and purple spandex side panels that extend over the shoulders. This jersey's 06-46 L swatch tag in the neck indicates the year, size and cut of the jersey. The tail sports a Reebok tag, size 46 as well as a 4 inches L.B. flag tag. The Berlin, WI tag is affixed to the inside right tail. The numbers "29" are sewn in purple tackle twill with gold outline on the front, back and both shoulders. The name "TAYLOR" is sewn on white nameplate in purple tackle twill. Above the name, on the back of the jersey, is the Vikings embroidered team logo. The Vikings team name is embroidered above the numbers on the front of the jersey and the NFL Equipment patch is embroidered above the team name at the base of the neck. An embroidered Reebok logo is also on both sleeves.
