Jacoby Ellsbury was called-up by the Boston Red Sox after an injury to Coco Crisp in 2007 to play center field. He was the 2007 American League Rookie of the Month and an important member of the 2007 World Championship Boston Red Sox team when he batted .438 with 4 doubles and a stolen base in the World Series. Ellsbury also had a solid 2008 season helping the Red Sox make it back to the postseason.
