Ryan Zimmerman is the third baseman for the Washington Nationals. Ryan also started on the 2004 USA Baseball Team that won the Olympic Gold Medal. He has become a fan favorite because of his timely hitting and terrific defensive skills at third base.

Black mesh Savannah Sand Gnats jersey worn by Ryan Zimmerman during the 2005 season. This jersey has no tagging inside, on the tail, or in the collar. There is a small script "D" manufacturer's patch on the right sleeve of the jersey. Exhibits heavy evidence of use, primarily in the form of heavy puckering to the logo and numbers. Jersey comes with a signed COA from the Sand Gnats, along with the original mailing envelope and thank you card (addressed to the original purchaser).

According to my records, Zim played only 4 games in 2005 for the Sand Gnats so heavy use and puckering would not be consistent with Zimmerman using that jersey.

Is it a BP jersey?

Also, what size is it? Zim wore a 48 when he was first called up to the Majors.

The jersey comes with a team LOA that states it was worn by Zimmerman, however, it's common practice for jerseys to be used and reused numerous times in the minors. A jersey of this style, especially without a NOB, could have been used by players before and after Zimmerman played on the team. The jersey has absolutely no tagging, but if there specific measurements you would like, I'm sure Chris would accomodate.

Rob - I am well aware of the common practice of numerous players wearing a Minor League jersey and a Team LOA is great but mistakes still can be made. Some more research outside of physical observations about the jersey would have been helpful such as "wear was most likely from numerous players due to Zim only played 4 games", jersey size is --, whether it is a BP, and a copy of the team letter.

I found this pic of Zim in a pinstripe but not of that style shirt.

I found this pic from a game in 2005 and it looks like this jersey is dark green and just says Gnats.
