This bat was manufactured by Cooper and bears Harold Baines' name stamped on the barrel. A portion of his name has worn, due to the tremendous amount of use on this bat. The bat has Cooper professional labeling that extended into 1995. The Model Number S44C appears on the barrel of this bat. The bat has a two-tone finish, with a natural finished handle and a black finish on the barrel. It measures 34.5 inches in length and weighs approximately 32 ounces. Manufacturer's stampings indicating the length (34.5") and weight (32 oz.) of this bat are also stamped into the knob. This bat is uncracked and absolutely hammered with use. It exhibits numerous game use characteristics, including many hit marks, ball marks, and an area of grain separation on the barrel. The finish has worn through on parts of the barrel, and pine tar application extends 15 inches toward the barrel. Two inches of tape appear at the knob, a small portion of which has come loose. Baines' uniform number 3 has been written on the knob in black marker.
