This base was used in a pitching duel at Shea Stadium between Johan Santana and Andy Pettite on June 28, 2008 with the Yankees winning 3-2 in the rubber game of a three game series. The base has the New York Mets 1964-2008 Shea Stadium stamp on the top with the Mets and logo on the side plate. The base still has cleat and dirt marks from Shea. This base was used as second for innings 4-6.
Nice piece of memorabilia from the last season of Shea Stadium.
