Ken Holtzman was a highly effective left-hander who played most of his career for the Chicago Cubs and Oakland Athletics. He became the only pitcher since the 1880s to throw 2 no-hitters for the Cubs, and was also one of the principal pitchers on Oakland's championship teams from 1972 to 1975. His 174 career victories are the most in the major leagues by a Jewish pitcher.
This yellow Oakland A's knit was worn by pitcher Ken Holtzman during the 1973 season, a year in which he won 21 games. Tagged on the inside of the tail with three tags – a "1973" year tag, a McAuliffe manufacturer's tag, and a size 44 size tag. This jersey is 100% original and exhibits great evidence of use. Extensive evidence of laundering, puckering on the numbers and letters, fraying of the tackle twill material and some staining are all evident throughout this jersey. A fantastic all-original knit from the A's glory years.View Lot Detail page
