Jim Nash's professional baseball career debuted on July 3, 1966 when he pitched for the Kansas City Athletics against the Detroit Tigers. Over his seven year major league career, Nash recorded a total of 68 wins and 64 losses with a lifetime ERA of 3.58. He played 4 seasons for the Athletics and 2+ seasons for the Atlanta Braves before going to Philadelphia where he finish his career with the Phillies in 1972.
This home pinstripe flannel dates to 1970 when Nash went 13-9 for the Braves. The "Braves" script front and the #23 numerals are all original but show no apparent evidence of puckering (laundering). The manufacturer's tag (Wilson) shows some fraying on the right side and may indicate the removal of some other tag. The shirt is all-original except for the possibility of a tag removal in tail. Shirt shows minimal to no wear which, due to no evidence of laundering, makes it difficult to determine if the shirt was game used.
