Derrek Lee first made his mark as a member of the Florida Marlins, where he won his first Gold Glove during the 2003 championship season. In 2005 Lee had a career year, becoming the first Cub since Bill Buckner to win a batting title. His .335 batting average that year was the highest by a Cub since Bill Madlock's .339 in 1976. A leader both on and off the field, Lee has won a Silver Slugger Award and has made two appearances on the National League All-Star team.
This road gray Chicago Cubs jersey was worn by D-Lee during the 2007 season. It is tagged on the tail with a Majestic tag and a size 52 flag tag. This jersey is also tagged in the collar with an embroidered strip tag that reads "25 52 07 S5" (indicative of Lee's jersey number, the size, year, and set number of the jersey). Also tagged on the inside with a pro-coded "0062" wash tag, this jersey exhibits light evidence of game use (which is common with Lee jerseys given the number of jerseys he donates and auctions off through Project 3000).
This jersey comes with a letter from the Chicago Cubs and was purchased at the 2008 Cubs Convention. It was consigned to the auction by Rob Steinmetz. View Lot Detail page
