Chris Carpenter 2006 Game Worn, Signed St. Louis Cardinals Home Jersey

In 2005, Chris Carpenter posted his best season ever in the big leagues, setting career bests in five categories while amassing a 21-5 record. He was selected over Dontrelle Willis as the National League Cy Young Award winner that year. He also was selected as the starter for the National League in the 2005 All Star game. Carpenter continued pitching well throughout the 2006 season, achieving career feats such as striking out a career high 13 batters and winning his 100th career game. Carpenter was also voted on the 2006 All-Star game, and finished third in the Cy Young Award voting. Carpenter also won his first career World Series start in Game 3 against the Tigers by pitching eight innings and allowing no runs on three hits.

This home white St. Louis Cardinals jersey was worn by Chris Carpenter during the 2006 season. This jersey is tagged on the tail with a Majestic tag and a size 52 flag tag. Inside, this jersey is tagged with a pro-coded "0062" wash tag. On the sleeve of this jersey is a Busch Stadium Inaugural Season patch. Carpenter signed the back of this jersey in silver on the "2". This jersey exhibits light evidence of game use, consistent with Carpenter's shortened 2006 season (use is evident in the form of light wash wear and loose stitching). A great example from one of the anchors of the Cardinals' World Championship team in 2006! View Lot Detail page
