Ruben Sierra made his major league debut in 1986, hitting .264 with 16 home runs and 55 RBIs. He went on to have 3 years with 100+ RBIs with the Rangers. Sierra was considered a journeyman because of playing for numerous teams throughout his career. In Game 4 of the 2004 American League Division Series, with the Yankees down to the Minnesota Twins 5-2, Sierra hit a clutch 3-run home run to tie the game at 5-5 off of reliever Juan Rincon. His clutch home run helped the Yankees win the game and the series.
This home white Toronto Blue Jays jersey was worn by Ruben Sierra during the 1997 season. It is tagged in the collar with a Wilson size/wash care flag tag and a "97" embroidered swatch tag. This style tagging was used for call-up and extra jerseys in 1997, which would be consistent with Sierra's late arrival and brief stint with the club. This jersey exhibits light evidence of game use and is all original. The Jackie Robinson anniversary patch is affixed to the right sleeve, with the Blue Jays team patch on the left sleeve. A scarce gamer from Sierra's very brief stint in Toronto.View Lot Detail page
