A product of the Atlanta Braves dominate pitching system of the mid-1990's, Jason Schmidt has played for four Major League teams – the Braves, the Pirates, the Giants, and the Dodgers. Through 2007, Schmidt compiled a respectable career record of 128-94 with 1750 strikeouts and an earned run average of 3.94. The Sporting News' 2004 Pitcher of the Year, Schmidt has also made three appearances on the National League All-Star team.
