Ken Smith 1982 Game Worn Atlanta Braves Home Jersey

A first round draft pick in 1976, Ken Smith's career was just 83 games long, over the course of three seasons with the Braves. He batted only 56 times during his career, and collected 15 base hits. Smith's best season came in 1982, when he hit .293 in 48 games with the Braves.

This home white Atlanta Braves jersey was worn by Ken Smith during the 1982 season. This jersey is tagged in the collar with a Wilson size/wash tag. There is also a chain-stitched "82" swatch tag on the tail. This jersey exhibits good evidence of game use, primarily in the form of wash wear. This jersey is all original.View Lot Detail page

What is the history on this jersey? It's listed as a Ken Smith jersey, but accoring to Braves media guides and yearbooks Ken Smith wore #11 in 1982. Also the font on the name on back looks wrong. It should be vertical arch. Possibly a nameplate change in the minor leagues? Any ideas?

According to "Now Batting..." & Stang's "Baseball By The Numbers," Ken Smith did wear #11 in 1982...Catcher, Larry Owen wore #24
