Hello Everyone,
I just wanted to make a post to let everyone know we have withdrawn three items from the GUU auction pending further evaluations. There were questions raised about each item and we will not offer them here until we are completely comfortable with them. The items are:
1) Devin Hester Game Used Miami Hurricanes Jersey - Although this jersey came with Miami Hurricane paperwork, we actually withdrew this item prior to the start of the auction as we felt the need to do additional research to verify the jersey is consistent with ones worn by Hester at Miami.
2) Keith Jackson Helmet - After discussions with forum member aeneas01, we would like to do some additional research on the helmet (and possibly have him look at it in person) before offering it on here.
3) Joe Montana Ring - After some email exchanges, we would like to do some additional research on this item as well.
Please note that by pulling these items, we are not stating that the items are not legitimate. It is simply that we are on the ultra-conservative end of the spectrum in terms of what we offer collectors and we do not want to offer any items that do not meet our criteria. While we understand it may mean a loss of short-term revenue, we will not compromise our commitment to the collecting community to create a marketplace of legitimate merchandise.
