Here are some of the SAM bats I have in my Marty Cordova collection. Have to admit the latest bat I bought is by far my favorite Cordova bat in my collection. (Thanks a million, Steve!) It is a brown VW1.

Can anybody shed any light on the "TY'S" model SAM Bats? All of the other models are just players' initials who were the first to order that kind, except for Bonds's 2K1 (eg, JC1=Joe Carter, KB1=Kimera Bartee, etc).
I have a Canceso SAM bat that is from the Yankees so it is a 2000, but the end of the barrel is completely flat with no usual SAM indentation and no writing. Not sure I have seen this before. Any thoughts from anyone on this?
I've seen this on an early Albert Belle SAM Bat. Try looking for a date on the handle...it might not be there, but if it is, it might be very difficult to see. I'd appreciate any pics you have of it: treant985@triad.rr.com .

Someone sent in info about a 1997 Enrique Cruz SAM Bat...would that person care to identify themself? I'm very interested in hearing the story behind that bat, as they didn't get MLB approval until the 1998 season.
