Ok, even though this item for me is more aptly classified a "fantasy" piece given its scarcity & price range, but hey, here goes... my dream piece is a Cubs game used "Ron Santo" jersey...another more realistic item is from a guy most of you have probably never heard of, since he had only a very short big-league call-up...but what a great Minor Leaguer he was...a game used "Matt Winters" Memphis Chicks jersey...boy was it fun to watch him slug baseballs at the AA level in Memphis back in the late 80's...

I've gotta say that my holy grail is a game-used Todd Van Poppel Oakland Athletics jersey. Preferably home or an alternate, but beggars can't be choosey. I've convinced myself, and my fiancee, that I will pay insane money to get it, if necessary.

Game used bats from Sandy Amoros, Babe Herman and Pete Reiser. Of course, whether I could afford any of them were one to mysteriously appear is a whole different question.

Ahuff, I saw that. Timing just is not right at all for me. Just purchased two Reds jerseys and I am eying a pink bat from this past mothers days. Always nice to leave something out there to chase later on.

I've only ever seen 4 or 5 at auction...

I'd take almost anyone, but I am partial to a Moses Malone or any semi star player...

Adam, the connection is pretty arbitrary.

I'm a huge Detroit Tigers fan, and he pitched for them in 1996.

He pitched on the Tigers for just a handful of games during the horrible 1996 campaign. I was sixteen, and hadn't gotten to witness much success up to that point, and they were difficult as heck to root for. When they plucked Van Poppel off of Waivers from Oakland, I was pumped, because he gave me a little glimpse of hope.

Although he didn't pan out here, I stuck with being a fan because he was one of those elements of hope that kept me being a Tigers fan through the many dark years.

Over time, he's become somewhat of a legend for me, and now my fiancee and five year-old, soon-to-be-step-son are huge fans of his, to the point that my step-son sometimes decides he's Todd Van Poppel when it's his turn to pitch to me.

I like to collect jerseys of certain current and past Detroit Tigers from other teams they were on, and Van Poppel is far and away the top of that list.

The infamous CMB(Cash Money Brothers) bats from Griffey Junior and Kevin Mitchell or was it Harold Reynolds or all 3?? I can't remember, I do know Junior had them made CMB 24 and I am almost positive I've seen
CMB 7 which would have been Mitchell. Based off of the characters in New Jack City, Junior and Co wanted everyone to know they got PAID!! I have not seen one in 10 years.........
