Re: What's that one piece you'll never get rid of?
Damn, are those all g/u jerseys?
I think the one item I couldn't let go would be my 2004 Ortiz World Series bat. A close second is Pedro Martinez's rookie Dodger jersey & pants.

Here are a some general pictures, taken at different times, of my room where I keep most of my collection. I do change it often. The last picture is how it sits today.

Re: What's that one piece you'll never get rid of?
Can I get 2? I collect football jerseys and bats, so out of my jerseys it is my 1997 Curtis Martin Pats jersey. Has the team inventory stamp on the inside, 4 team repairs and he is one of the best rb's in NFL history. As for bats, it is my 1986-89 Robin Yount gamer from Jim Caravello. It has the nicest use of any bats in my collection. Just absolutely perfect. It is not the most expensive bat I have, but it is the nicest.

For me it is my Mark Brunell game worn jersey from the Jags first ever Monday night game 9/22/97. That was also his first game back from the pre-season knee injury that everybody said would take 8 weeks to heal. He had a great game, the Jags beat the Steelers, and that jersey is a big part of Jaguars history. When Mark left Jacksonville, he listed that game as one of his top five memories as a Jag.Leave a comment:

Re: What's that one piece you'll never get rid of?
My 1998 Kevin Greene Panther jersey is my most prized piece. I got it directly from Kevin, as a gift. He wore it most of the season, so it has great wear. It is far from the most valuable item that I own. For me its not about the money I have in something that makes me value one piece over another. If it got down to me having to sell this, the whole collection would go first.

Re: What's that one piece you'll never get rid of?
mine is a bat that i was lucky enough to purchase before josh hamiltons hit 28 home runs in the home run derby. i was able to photomatch the bat to early in josh's tenure with the rangers and it is the only uncracked hamilton gamer that i own

Hmm. Hard to choose. It's either my 1995 Arod Spring Training jersey, 2004 ManRam jersey or my early-1980s Reggie Jackson jersey. It's a toss up.Leave a comment:

My McGwire 1998 Heavily Game used Bat. My favorite player of all time. and to have a bat according to the batch number dates to Mid September, It was used during the time after he hit 62. lets just say I'll be buried with this bat. Not to mention during the time this bat was used i was dating the girl of my dreams so it comes from a time when i was the happiest in life and the happiest time as a sports fan.
